Developer Hexworks could be planning to release PS5 title Lords of the Fallen on 13th October 2023, if a new post from Xbox Store dataminer Aggiornamenti Lumia is to be believed. With a reliable track record, the poster simply tweeted out the date and the game's key art, presumably having found it on the backend. If this is indeed the case, confirmation may be shared during a gaming showcase next month.
While it retains the exact same name as the early PS4 game, this is still a sort of spiritual successor and will be a wholly original experience. A graphical and technical showcase was published in April, which reveals the title should sport some impressive visuals. Are you interested in Lords of the Fallen? Wait it out until October in the comments below.

Souls fans complain about armored core while one of these seems to come out every 3/4 months.
Not for me, but it looks decent.
This is make or break for these guys in my book.
That first game was borderline unplayable. I have played N64 games with better feeling controls than the first Lords game.
This new one looks beautiful. If they can just make the character movement and combat not feel like it has 10f input delay it should be great.
From the makers of Lords of the Fallen comes the sequel to Lords of the Fallen; Lords of the Fallen.
@Volsung_Fjorgynnson I have platinumed Elden Ring and Remnant... I've completed Demon's Souls, Surge 2, Ashen, Absolver... I don't mind hard Souls-like games.
LotF, though?? I bounced off it twice. Both at the very first boss. It just felt the tiniest bit off. I could NOT understand the timing or mechanics that were making it literally impossible for me to do damn near anything smoothly. Weirdest feel to such a game I've ever played.
I'm crossing my fingers and toes this is better. Cause it looks phenomenal. I want to explore the world and enjoy myself, but I can't do that if the base gameplay is as busted as the first game.
Looking forward to this for sure. The control complaints are odd to me, as I just finished it. It looks dated for sure, but the controls are nearly identical in terms of response to the game they moved on to (The Surge series). It was clearly meant to feel slower and weighted just like the surge/2.
It had some jank, but i didn't feel like it had too much input lag, it was simply that the movement was weighted and slow that required specific timing to land hits and allow for clean doges away from counter attacks. Overall I found it to be a solid soulslike with some very underwhelming boss fights.
It's also worth noting that this is absolutely NOT the same team working on this game. It has actually switched teams twice during its development, much like Dead Island 2.
@KundaliniRising333 this comment has actually made me want to try this new game even more. There is a logic to a sword taking a certain amount of time to swing, or a shield taking time to raise up, after actually setting off in motion, and most games ignore that purely for style and ease, but feel very floaty because of it. If it's solid, big bas**** combat, more in line with the pace and physics of something like RDR2, where movement was less gamey, and more weighty, then I'm definitely here for that.
Soooo it's not a remake but a sequel/spiritual successor with the same name? Sounds like the Wii U and people couldn't figure out if it was an upgraded Wii or an actual next console.
Never heard of this one but i am new to PS5 and single player games
The higher fidelity and more polygons and textures from the PS4 and onwards just seem to loose those sweet liquid movement of controlling. Seems the sweet spot was mid PS2-late PS3 cycle that is was golden.
Mhhhhhmm check please!
I loved the first game on the pc but didnt enjoy it at all on the ps4..i really am looking forwards to this though.
I really like the first game, I'm looking forward to this one.
Good news. This game is on my wishlist.
I don't see this performing well, if we get any strong releases in the same month.
